Colin

I've just come across a strange phenomenon.

I decided to start a new PAK64 game. When I loaded the game I found that the buildings remained hidden. Nothing would make them appear beyond the construction (red square) stage) except, the 'Townhall' and other 'main' buildings' would show the little coloured 'flag' when 'ctrl "' was pressed.

After an hour of combing through the various menu's I was contemplating putting in a bug report. Then I had a thought, "Could my PAK128 game be causing the problem?" I loaded up PAK128 and sure enough the buildings were hidden, I clicked 'ctrl "' and the buildings were revealed. I went back to PAK64 and lo and behold the buildings were ok.

Any ideas, Anyone?
I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it

Thought for the day

When you are up to your backside in alligators, it is difficult to remind yourself that your initial objective was to drain the swamp.

I encountered something similar, too. In my case, the fix was simple ;) Was the game paused?

(I had to spend some minutes on that one, though!)

My projects... Tools for messing with Simutrans graphics. Graphic archive - templates and some other stuff for painters. Development logs for most recent information on what is going on. And of course pak128!

I'm not sure about that, but I'll check it out.

It gets stranger. I can not now duplicate the effect. It doesn't matter if I load PAK128, hide the buildings and pause it, or not, when I close the game and open PAK64 the buildings are hidden but 'ctrl "' works fine.

Correction to the above. It would appear to happen if the PAK128 is not paused. Then again it may be a random thing because it just happened again.

Maybe try the 102-2-1 releqase candiate ... it may work better.

Sorry Prissi, I should have said that I'm using RC r2864 with PAK Files 757 for PAK128 and PAK Files 231 for PAK64.

incidentally, off topic, If you look at my latest PAK128 download you will see that I have commented that it is working great. The only 'freeze' occurs when it Auto Saves.
