I'm running Simutrans 102.2.2 on a Mac with pak128.  I've built three factories at rather large distances away from each other, and these factories are not connected to one another.  I've tried hauling goods between them, but obviously it wont let me.  I've connected factories in pak64, but haven't been able to do it in pak128.  Any suggestions?

You can connect factories (as long as they can be connected under normal circumstances) using the "connect factories" tool. To use this tool, switch to the public service player by pressing shift+P. Is you did this correctly, the button in the toolbar that would take you to your line management screen now takes you to the map editing tools (it should have switched icons). Open the map editing toolbar. The connect factories tool should be somewhere on the right of this toolbar. To use it, first activate it, then click on the first factory you want to connect, then click on the second one. If you did this correctly, they should now be linked.

When I try to switch players it says the game is locked.  No player changes are possible.  I remember doing this at the beginning of my game.  Is there any way to unlock the game now?

As far as I know, you can't do that from within the game and editing the save file with a text editor isn't an option either.

That advice is absolutely not correct. Please do not give advice where you do not know the answer.
