Long time ago, Simutranslator had some problems with spammers, so maybe it's a reminiscence of that time. On the other hand, it could be a joke too.

I'd say, remove the link. The object descriptions are part of the immersion into the game, and such links do not fit well. (Although I assume the link was added with best of intentions.)
