Airports - Runways, Taxiways, Planes and Buildings
« on: August 15, 2011, 09:30:40 PM »
After the convertion of Zeno's plane to comic style. I've decided to create this topic to add planes, taxiways, runways and airport buildings. Anyone can add yours.

So here's a first screen of a testing I did, unfortunally it's not real. Cause the runway don't work on pak96.comic only on pak128.

I'm almost finishing a taxiway. I'm going to test it now to see if it works, or still crash.

EDIT:
It's working now and the taxiway is almost finished, just missing N,S,E,W.
Here's a screen and the pak files. PNG and DAT later.

EDIT2:
New download link, updated files.

I didn't like the taxiway, too dark.
But the runaway is perfect. My project is create 3 Airport types.
International Airport
Local Airport
Landing Zone

International is the one I've uploaded, for huge planes.
The landing zone is a grass airport, for small planes. I did something, but I stopped to create the International one.
And Local a not so sophisticate ways, less lights, more simple. For small local airports. And you runaway is perfect.

I would just say, remove the 6 white lines. Keep only the middle line. Add red and green lights on starting runaway. And sparse white lines on way side. The crossing image is not so cool.

You better use another site. The site you used don't work. I can't download.

And can you upload the sources?

Pak96.comic is quite strange in its style and so I am not sure I am not wrong with my following complaint on grassy taxiway: it would be good to see where it is - it is needed to place on sides something what would show it.

Yes, No worry. I already have a good idea for it, it'll be easy to find it. At day and Night, taxiways not so easy at night, but at day yes.

Here where I live, there are quite many grass landing zones. I know at least 5 around and all of them have some great elements that I'll implement.
-------
I'm not sure if a winter view is necessary for the International Airport Runway and Taxiway. Cause those places always are kept snow free. Except when heavy snowing, that's not the case, cause when this happens the airport is closed. I think only local airports can have a little snow on way sides.

I would also like to discuss the way prices. Here are my ideas:
Landing Zones:
Runway:80
Taxiway:65

Local Airports:
Runway:160
Taxiway:140

International Airports:
Runway:190
Taxiway:170

The prices should be not cheap. Your prices looks well, but some test are required.

To the snow: make only a few transparent (or snowpixels - so you don't see the ground in summer) pixels at the borders. So the snow will be on the sides.

@reytm2 Your links to the zipps are broken.

@all
Can i get the sorces (pngs)? And can I change your grafics, if it is necessary? All grafics must have the 96th comic standard. And this standard can change a bit from time to time. Of course, the copyright is yours and will remain yours!

Course sojo, here are the sources png and dat for the International Airport.
I omitted the max_weight on it for obvious purpose: International Airport can handle any planes.
It's updated, lots of glitches now corrected, I've updated the pak files on first topic.
And I left the winter images up to you sojo. Sorry, but I'm terrible on it.

And here's the Landing Zone Runway. The best is that no Winter images needed. Sources also available.
The pak file is attached too for anyone that just want to play with it.

Also I'm developing a Landing Zone Dirt Runway. There are some glitches I'm trying to correct. Sources later.

An_dz:

I think landing zones must have special taxiways.

because it does not make sense that are paved taxiways,  and runways not.

I know, I just didn't started a landing zone taxiway yet. So I used the Int. Air just to show the T crossing images.

Wow, that plane looks great! How did you draw it? I remember your other thread about the 747 where you mentioned that you took it from another pak. If so then please make sure that all those models you used are open source.
The planes together with your runways would be a huge addition to the existing pak96. I can't wait to see them implemented..

That plane has been created in Xpaint and MSpaint ... hard work but worth the effort ...

inspire me in a DC-10 (MS Flight Simulator).

The B747 is not mine, is An_dz.

Sometimes I use PNGs other pack to guide me in the data, N, S, E, W. always open source.

The plane is looking awesome reytm2, is it 96px or higher?
It looks 96, and the size looks perfect.

So keep tuned Bergente, more ways, planes, stops/stations and buildings will come. And with reytm2 I think lot of new things will come.

The plane is looking awesome as I said before, but there are some special colors problems, like: red and green wing lights don't lit at night and a strange light on top of the plane is lit.

I recommend change those colors to the right special colors, also change the red on the plane body with the player color. See this wiki page for more details.

Download Shades reytm2 it will help a lot with it.
Edit: Forget, it's for Windows.

New plane available: Cessna C172SP Skyhawk

It's a small plane to carry few products and be cheap. Reytm2 should know from where I took the inspiration.

@Reytm2 Can you start a tanker plane? An Oil plane will be a great addition since few vehicles can carry it.
