You know, I just installed Simutrans 110, was using 102 for years.
What I have noticed. Ive been using factories with Productivity=20000 and more, so it was generating new goods really fast, and loading them in warehouses was taking not really long (almost instant loading).

But... in Simutrans 110 factory with such productivity generates goods with slow speed and unloads goods slow aswell. Is there ability to make it working with same speed as in old versions of Simutrans?

prissi

You need to disable "just_in_time" or use the beginner mode. Otherwise both 102 and 110 behave the same.

Foxglove

Any way to copy all settings of 102 to 110 folder?

prissi

The best way to do your favourite settings is to use a personal simuconf.tab. In that case the old settings will be used. Other than that, when opening an old game the same settings will apply as at the time the old game was created.

But maybe I understood your question wrong, and it is some other change.

Uhm thats the problem. I play multiplayer on my own local server in 110, and just_in_time is set, also beginner mode is off. But exactly same it is set and mode is off in 102, and warehouse was loading as fast as possible. In other words, exacly same settings give different effect.

Ill post screens soon.

Well no screens but better description. Imagine any factory, name it "Elevator", which produces something. Productivity has been set to 9800 in dat file:

DistributionWeight=1
Productivity=9800

OutputGood[0]=food
OutputCapacity[0]=23500
OutputFactor[0]=870

With such a cheating parameters, factory was producing food as fast as fish in 102. My truck just took 50 food from warehouse and in 1 second it produced 40-50 foods more so warehouse is full again.

But in ver 110 it produces very slow, by 8-12 per second. So warehouse isnt full, and with same amount of trucks they all are having red balance, they dont earn money and stuff. What could affect it?

prissi

A factory just loads at maximum ten units per step (0.2s without fast forwarding) Thus a maximum of 100 units per second. With fast forward it might be much less in relative game time tough. I have to check the routine in question. It was changed in between, but honestly I think it was also called every step in 102.2.2.

Foxglove

I played 102.2.1, yeah. Could u make it optional for a next nightly build and keep it so? Since Im used to loads of trucks, its hard to play like that.

prissi

Please tell me exactly what you mean. The loading in units of 10 was not changed since three years or so.

Foxglove

I mean, in 102.2.1 you build a factory with parameters I wrote above (high productivity edited in dat file; making new goods only, like coal mine or cotton fields), then u build a warehouse and make a route, and then warehouse is full in few seconds.
But in 110 its not full even in 30 seconds.
Means... somehow "unloading" from factory to warehouse was way faster in 102.2.1, but slower in 110. Any way to make it same as it was, cause Im simply not used to play with small amount of vehicles and trains?

Totally same settings, same pak file of factories, but different unloading speed.

I would record it on video but I dont know how to record vids not in 3D-games.

prissi

Ok, I could reproduce it with a testscenario. I made a simple fix, which will distribute larger pakets in factories with very high production. It will be in the next nightly tonnight.

Foxglove

Awesome! I checked latest build and it works properly. Thank you!
