I want to change the "passenger_factor",because it has too many passenger in my save...
but I don't know how to change "passenger_factor" in the old save?  ???

isidoro

It is easy.  Just press 'i'.  Navigate through the tabs and locate passenger_factor.  Change it and save the game with other name.

Notice that the pak version you are using must have that key activated, though.  Otherwise, you will get the help dialog instead.

Which pak uses i for the extended settings?

You can load the game, open the new world dialoge, open the settigns and edit this factor and close the windows. That should apply the new factor.

who the activate that key " i "
I press" i " open  help dialog only,... ???

Then try Prissi's method (I did not know that that would work ...  :-[ )

What did not work:
a) changing the passenger factor (so after saving and reloading the game, the factor had the old value)
b) the number of passengers did not drop immediately. That could be ok, only the rate for new passengers will be lower, so this might take a while to see any effects.

A) after save and reloading the game ,the factor still > 16 (no change)
B) I open 20X speed ,the passengers did not drop .... :-X

Then you need to edit the file menuconf.tab of your pakset. Just add:

dialog_tool[27]=,I

to a section where you see this string.
