Hi folks,

I got gutsy and tried building a rail line in an area that seemed underserved, connecting Miurness and Tullforth. After combing the line multiple times for gaps and trying adding waypoints along the way, I cannot get the train to find a route after leaving the depot and going to Miurness station.

Could anyone look at what I've tried and help me troubleshoot? Thanks for the help!

I'm pretty sure this is due to my wooden support bridges/elevated ways in a few places. My vehicle has a max of 12t/axle and the whole line supports up to 15t/axle, but I am also seeing that total weight matters for bridges. I cannot see where I can confirm that maximum load for an elevated way. Any suggestions for where that info can be found?

I can't answer your actual questions, though I would think any weight limits would get mentioned in the tooltip.
However I can tell you that "debugging" the line with waypoints won't work. This has bitten me in the past. I think convoys will always search for a path to the next actual station so I'd try adding temporary stations on the line for this.

Thank you for that tip - using those timing points as stations was the best tool for troubleshooting. Turns out literally in the center of my station for Tullforth which was concealed by the roof of the station building (which does not get the transparent treatment when I'm hovering, doh). I am sure I'll regret the unneeded elevated ways in terms of maintenance cost, but it looks like this line is getting enough usage to get me heading towards the black. Yay!
