OK, While playing version 102.0 pack 128 I hit the numpad "-" because it's my Ventrilo push to talk key.  This really messed up my graphics by shifting all the colors, and was a pain to cycle all the way back.  Needless to say this is very annoying.  Is their any way to un-bind the key in simutrans so it doesn't happen again; I've found this to be the best PTT key for me in several MMO's, and really don't want to change my vent settings.

Is their any way to un-link two good sites?  Right now I am accidently sending tuns of raw wood from one sawmill to another, while the first one does nothing, and the second can't keep up.  No matter what I do the tree farm from the first sends 80%ish through the first mill to the second, and I need both running near capacity to supply a goods factory that is mostly sitting idle.  The worst part is since the second mill is so swamped, my trains just lug raw wood back and forth and have no room for the planks the goods factory needs.
The easiest way to fix it that I can think of is un-linking the first tree farm from the second  saw mill, but am open to suggestions.

Welcome to the forum! :) For future reference, we request one issue per topic, just so we can merge and keep things organized where necessary. But not a huge deal... :)

In regard to your first question - I"m not sure about unbinding the key; but if you need to press it, "+" should go back the other way. One step instead of 255 ;-)

In regard to the second question - I don't think there's a way to unlink factories -- it was pretty recent that we got the ability to link them :) So perhaps switching to public service, removing the factory you want to unlink, plopping a new one in its place, and linking it however you want seems to be the answer there.

Thanks, I did that, and it worked really well.  I was able to cut the trains & stations in half without all the wood going back and forth.

I just tacked the second question on there since it seemed to be a one time thing, the PTT thing will come up a lot.

Look at pak/config/menuconfig.tab. There you have a line
toolbar[0][26]=simple_tool[19],,-,-
Change the first '-' to the shortcut you want to bind to "make simutrans darker" or just delete it.

Thanks a lot, I figured it'd be something like that but I no clue where to look.

This (and the '+' key) is included in Pak128 V1.4.4, but it should not change the colours, only the brightness.
@Helian: Which Pak128 version do you use? V1.4.5 is the most current one.

Thanks whoami, should have known my problems would be lessened if not fixed by updating.  The funny thing is I knew I was out of date since I DL'ed everything again to give to a friend (trying to convert him from stealing everything to open source or free).

gerw, changing those lines works great, now I just get a Keyboard help window every time I use my PTT, which is much better than having to cycle back since it's not uncommon to get into 10 minuet WoW discussions while doing completely different things, really odd considering how little I play anymore.
Looks like changing things in simutrans is even easier than Space Empire 4, the last game I really messed with in this way.
