cities with neat blocks

Hi,

I tried to change the cityconf.tab so I had blocks, that were easier to service (e.g. all roads are straight).

BUT ST complained that it wasn't valid for some reason.

Hi,

It's about configuring the rules which govern house/street creation.
I tried to make the houses sit in a 9x4 rectangle to be able to build a nice station system (kind of like a grid). But it just gave me an error.

The new cityrules (which I made a couple of years ago for pak 128 and are used also for other paks) are thought for 2*2 blocks of houses, with a grid of roads. I added also the possibility of 3*2 blocks, to add some variety. Before this, the roads were even more irregular and placing stops was a nightmare. A perfect 2*2 blocks only is easy to do (this was my first outcome). Bigger blocks are not really possible (3*3 should be as a limit case) because the n tile where the house or road will be built needs to be in the centre of the 9*9 square.
