Crashing on zooming out

Sometimes, when zooming out to the  furthest level, the game appears to crash unexpectedly (specially when you do it rapidly, it would appear). I can think of no way to reliably reproduce this, but it did not occur in 10.10, but now does (encountered twice while sorting out power lines-).

Hmm - that's very odd, sine the graphics code is the same in Standard as Experimental. This sounds like a potentially difficult one to track down, especially if it can't be reproduced. How often does it occur? Is there any particular saved game with which it tends to occur?

Hmm - further testing suggest that the major problem isn't necessarily the zooming in and out - it's to do with the electricity lines. Just prior to crash I noticed a strange unprecedented overflow of electricity to the electricity network - about 20 TW - upon which the game crashed.

Previously I had to use public player to make connection between the networks, and when fixing those it eventually crashes. The demand and generation seems to flicker in queer ways, going up and down for no reason. The total generating capacity is about 21,000MW, with total demand previously being about 15-23,000 (depending on the industries I guess), but the demand seems more unstable in 10.11. Now and then it will drop. But most strangely, the generation will sometimes suddenly be a lot higher, far outstripping the capacity of all generation by hundreds of times, and demand will too, and the "capacity" of the network will flicker from the annoying 30,000 MW that seemed the max previously to ridiculous amounts with so many numbers; and at other times, the total capacity dwindles to as low as 16MW (does it perhaps mean 16GW, I wonder?)

I have still been unable to determine a clear source able to reproduce it.

Save game with required pak.

Connecting the disconnected wire just at Rubi Junction Railway station will sometimes cause a crash, as will modifying (deleting the public and replacing with company built ones) the lines in the vicinity of Arisu nuclear power station; connecting them and letting the game run for a while will also cause a crash to occur eventually. Note that these crashes did not occur, and play was without trouble in 10.10.
