Why is Simutrans-Extended missing Chinese?

All other languages seem to be selectable in Simutrans-Extended, except Chinese (both simplified and traditional), and this seems to apply to different paksets. I'm just wondering why this is.

I can certainly confirm that, but as far as I know this has been happening with Extended for a long time.

A quick check shows that the tab file is not broken, and the code in sprachen.h and sprachen.cc is identical to the standard.

Yes, you were right in your guess. Extended did not have a Chinese font.
I'll pull a request for it, but it will take some time for it to become officially downloadable, so if you want to use Chinese immediately, please download the font file, unzip it, and put it in the font folder.
