After game-months and years I have just discovered that factories can get their electricity boost just by having a transformer, it does not need to be connected to a power supplier. Well, in almost all cases (doesn't work for wineries).
Is this true? Is it a game or pak issue? In the image the factory still has an electricity boost of 50% and the transformer is always "powered".

Maybe its because the transformer is public property? Or, because the PowerSource and PowerDest dats are the same?

(Mind you, free energy would be a wonderful thing. Would that we had such generous governments! ;-) )

Simutrans bug I think

Indeed, for some strange reasons the default init of a net was 100%. Fixed in r11047.

However, the system is totally broken, the time for the demand is not taken into account. JIT2 programming broken this completely. Will require more work.

To save our honor, the effect is only visual. As long as the factory is not working, consumption(Demand) is 0 and 100% of this 0 is supplied, even without a connection to the power grid. Since 100% of the 0 consumption is delivered, this leads to maximum boost in production, but only as long as production is not really  running. As soon as the factory actually produces, it consumes electricity and 0% of its demand is then supplied. Remember it is not connected, so that the production boost / increase is gone.

That the trick doesn't work at the winery, the winery doesn't need any goods to work. So it probably worked, at you looked at it.

In my tests at JIT=1 and JIT=2 it works as intended. Only the shown values of not working factories are strange.
